We are licensed and experienced professionals that will understand the scope of your needs and deliver the most appropriate solutions. We begin our rat removal process with a thorough inspection where we assess the scope of the project. After we assess and understand the scope of the project, we design the most appropriate plan for removing the critters. Our team is licensed and experienced to handle different scales of projects and work on different types of properties. We work on homes. We also work on commercial and industrial properties. Irrespective of the nuances of the project, we design the right plan for getting rid of the critters. After removing the critters, we then clean up the infested materials and repair the damaged areas. We are both committed to the total removal of the critters and sticking to humane measures. We will not apply any available measures just to get rid of the critters. We do not sacrifice humaneness for efficiency. We New Jersey's top experts in rodent control. We are not a typical Jersey City rat removal or pest control company. We don't treat rats or mice like insects, because they are not - they are mammals! You can't just use poison to get rid of them, like you can with insects. Unlike most Jersey City pest control, we focus on complete and permanent solutions. We don't just use poison every month. We solve your rodent problem forever, by following these steps:
- Inspect the entire house, ground to roof, and the attic
- Seal shut all entry areas, no matter how small, with steel
- Set a dozen or more rat or mouse traps in the house and attic
- Remove all rodents as they are caught and monitor for activity
- Once there is no more activity and no more caught, we're done
- When necessary, we clean rodent droppings, replace insulation, and repair chewed electric wires
Jersey City Rodent Removal Tip:
The proper way to clean rat feces out of your attic
Precautions should be taken before cleaning, and while cleaning a rodent-infested attic, the rodents should be trapped, and passages for the rodents should be securely covered. After doing so, the cleaning and disinfection of the attic should be done after some time to reduce the infectiousness of the rodent's waste products. Proper ventilation should be carried out for at least thirty minutes so that fresh air can come in, removing contaminated air before you start cleaning the attic. Do not stay in the attic while ventilation occurs. Before you start cleaning the attic, you should get vinyl, latex, or rubber gloves, a dust mask, face mask, plastic bags, and tools for cleaning.
- Wear your vinyl, rubber, or latex gloves before you clean up the urine, feces, and nesting materials of the rat. Also, wear your dust mask and face mask to provide protection against skin contact, dust, insulation fibers, and molds. Note that a dust mask would not offer protection against viruses. Pick up the dried remains in the attic, put the feces of the rat in a double bag, and dispose of it properly.
- Mix a water and bleach solution (one part of bleach should be mixed with nine parts of water) or use a disinfectant. The water and bleach solution or the disinfectant will kill any germs. Use a rag or paper towel soaked in the water and bleach mixture or disinfectant to pick up materials in the attic. Scrub dropping sites with disinfectant until they are removed completely. Clean the attic and throw away disposable items properly.
- Spray disinfectant or water and bleach solution on the floor of the attic before mopping it.
- Proper disposal of insulation should be carried out if they have been contaminated with feces and urine of rodents.
- Remove contaminated materials from storage boxes by moving the storage boxes into a properly ventilated area that is well exposed to sunlight. You can disinfect the outer part of the storage box with disinfectants or a water and bleach solution. While in the sunlight, remove the contaminated materials. Stay in a windward position so that the wind will not blow infected dust or debris into your face. Throw away items that are not needed.
- Properly dispose of cardboard boxes that have been smeared with urine or contaminated with the rodent's feces. Soak a paper towel or rag in a disinfectant solution or water and bleach solution to wipe the urine and feces off contaminated metal, glass, or plastic containers.
- Use disinfectant or water and bleach solution to clean cabinets, shelves, drawers, and countertops in the attic.
- Disinfect gloves and other protective gear with disinfectant or a water and bleach solution and wash your hands with soap and water.
